The Insurance Agency of Choice
C.T. Lowndes & Company Insurance Agency is South Carolina's oldest independent insurance brokerage. We have been serving the Lowcountry of S.C. since 1850. Our original office was located in downtown historic Charleston, and moved to its current location in 1981. The Charleston office serves downtown Charleston and the West Ashley area including the rapidly growing areas along Hwy 61, Hwy 17.
Our agents specialize in quotes and policies for homes, beach homes, and condominiums, even ones on the front beach. We are known for our expertise in handling entire accounts, quoting personal automobile, flood insurance, watercraft, and other recreation type vehicles. Some of our agents specialize in commercial insurance, and quotes and issue policies for business insurance, general liability insurance, commercial package insurance, and workers compensation insurance for small and large businesses. We also offer worksite group benefits insurance, and group health insurance.
