Calrose started as a small business when Don Layson decided to strike out on his own after leading one of the largest agencies in the Puget Sound for over a decade. He wanted something different. Calrose began as a niche auto insurance agency but Don knew that's not where the business would stay, it expanded. Within 4 years it had purchased multiple agencies, reestablished relationships with premier insurance companies, and hired a group of professionals to handle the growth. All this rapid change forced the vision of the company to simplify to what was most important to those who'd come together to make Calrose what it is now.
