Barrows Insurance Agency was founded in 1977 by matriarch, Janice Barrows, right in her own living room. Having worked as an assistant to a local insurance agent for many years, Janice, at age 48, decided to start her own agency with just one customer and the desire to run a business using a very simple mantra - "be there for your customers when they need you." Jay Barrows joined his mother in 1994 handling sales and expanding services offered. Shortly thereafter, Rob Barrows came on board and managed the day-to-day operations and a small support staff. Today, Jay Barrows serves as President and Owner and now has three of his own children in the business Colby, Chris and Caitlin. Barrows Insurance Agency is full-service agency offering auto insurance, homeowners insurance, business insurance, and employee health benefits, in addition to specialty coverage's such as motorcycle insurance, renters insurance, classic car insurance, and umbrella insurance. At Barrows, when the phones ring, a person answers them. When a customer walks through the front door, they are greeted with a smile.
